haiz.. so lazy to write these days... either go class forum, bbg web , msn or maple. My days are getting sianers and sianers.This month's $$ is running out cuz i bought a new guitar last sunday and had to pay for our class chalet.The guitar so ex and wads more its a right-handed de (im left). Actually i bought it juz to try playing wif right hand..... and .........it sux.Costs about s$560.Yayz.. finally half- way through life-saving BM. So stressed out.. gotta do the compact jump 5m without life-jacket..I think im gonna write a new song cuz the hols are so boring........

Okies back for fews days le and i hav finally decided nt to ba a couch potato and write bout my hols experience.Place : North VietnamIts a nice place, better than the south. Since its winter and near China, temp is 21-28c.Ppl who went wif me : Mom, Younger sister, Cousin(m),Cousin (f), thier parents, uncle boo, his wife, their kids and course ,me..I noe this is going to b boring but bear wif it. ;)Adding Pictures if i have the time1st DayWoke up @ 6 am and got to the airport by 7.30am.Breafast and craps till 9.30. The plane was small and jerky like a rollercoaster.. felt like puking during the 3 hr flight but the food was good. Chicken rice better than Singapore. Reached there at around 12.30 but there was a delay due to the president of China visiting.Lolx. Caught a glimspe of him.And lolx uncle boo was funny. He quick went into the departure hall and took the name card from the tour guide bfore us. Then he stood there wif the card in front of his face. Looking at his face makes me laugh. so comical... DotsWe then headed to Fortuna Hotel , a Singaporean invested hotel. 4-star but facilities is great. Got swimming pool, casino, snookerium, and a bowling alley.After unpacking and stuff we took a walk round the lake near the hotel. ahh.. alls peaceful.... it was v.windy then and all the photos i was in suk. Like ...... dunno wad to say.Oh ya.. almost forget.. traffic in Hanoi 's v.unique. there is no traffic lights ,only zebra crossings. 90% of the city's vechicles are bikers and u can cross the road anywhere as the drivers are all cooperative. they only drive at a spd of less than 35 km/h.(There is no bird flu...only in the south. lols)We went back to Fortuna after that for teabreak. Ordered a beef burger called the Big Beef.dotssss. Could'nt finish it. In the end i split it into two.At 4, the tour guide came and brought us to the Old Quarter (the city centre of Hanoi). We gathered at this huge lake and the special thing was that it had a temple in the heart of it ( i forget the name le) They preserved a huge turtle which was one of their legends. ( i wouldnt want to go into it.. it ll take too long)The entrance fee was cheap. 3000 dong which is less than a dollar. After that we walked around the streets in the old quarter. lots of things to shop!! Fun and Fun!At 5 the sky was already dark. we went for the water puppet show. An indoor theathre like a cinema but the stage is filled wif water. Tells of the legend of the turtle and the story behind it( quite interesting ). Most of its tourist were from the Us, Australia and france. Whole theatre was filled wif "angmohs".. feels like the americas or something liddat... My cousin was sleeping during the whole show.. lols.. wake up only to clap after each chapter !When the show ended guess who i saw? Doyle! Of all the countries in the world i met him there!coincedence..We had dinner at a cosy little restaurants which has this litle rooms like cottages. ( lazy to elaborate).At aROund 9 pm we arrived back t o oour hotel...Gathered again @ 10pm to play bowling. 1st round score was 77 and 2nd 136... After bowling we went bck to our rooms to watch soccer. real bettis vs chelsea.Ended the 1st day..---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2nd dayWe had buffet breakfast before checking out... We proceeded to the temple of literature, the old university of confucious studys... the ppl believe that a crane standing on a turtle means peace and stability, so in almost all ther places of worship they hav this sculpture.Other than that there was a traditional vietnamese dance.After that we went to the Ho Chi Mihn Mesoleum. and again it was delayed my the arrival of the president of china's arrival. This time i got a snapshot of him! but itwas quitefar away. We then entered the late president's (so-called) Istana, his house and lifestyle in the 1960s.On the whole the whole place was beautiful except for the W/C (toilet which was called the washington city during the viet- ame war), it stinks!There was also a pagoda located on a small pond. (quite cute actually!)We had lunch at a shop house near the mausoleum, consisting of beef and so on. (In vietnam children below 16 are allowed to drink wine). The gave us the complementary wine for us to drink. For the first time in my life i wonder y are there so many alcoholics in the world; alcohol suks!Later in the afternoon we set of for halong Bay which was a 3 hr ride frm Hanoi and located near china.Along the way we stopped along a pottery factory. The artwork and handiwork were brilliant! But the sad thing was they were made by the hadicap, diabled and the orphans. *feels sorry for them*.At 4 pm we arrived at Halong Bay. The view was great and was like the bays in Australia.We checked into Halong Plaza located juz bside the bay. Dinner was at the chinese Restaurant, 4 storeys high!*seafood, mmm!*After that we walked along the streets in Halong Bay. There were many interesting things on sale ...jewellery.. shirts.. necklaces.... wrist bands.. . Bought some of the things on sale for 10 us $ but haggled the price down t o7.Spotted a LAN shop and my cousin and i played for 2 hrs while the rest shopped... On the way back, i sppoted a woman selling pets. these lil pups were kept in cages, 5 to 1 ...Poor things....-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3 rd day Lolz late by half an hour cuz uncle boo's mom lost her room keys.... Arrived at the Harbourby the tour bus. Weather: Drizzle to heavy rainWe received a raincoat each and 5 mins later it was torn.. dots..We took a ferry to Guilin. Though it seem near from halong bay, the ride took 30 mins.And when we reached there it was WOW! Its size is about a 100x bigger than singapore's.We entered the cave. It was beautifully decorated with different coloured lights. took a bout 2 dozen pictures there.At 12 .45 pm we took the ferry round to the water market( in the middle of the sea_)Bought crabs, manthis( a kind of lobster) and some king prawns. Tookie a look around the boat for bout 15 mins when we heard this loud boom.... LOLz ... The boat driver didnt see the missing plank and his leg sank downwards wif his shoe...he got back quick enough but had to fish for his shoe...We had lunch on the ferry with the seafood we bought earlier... At 2 pm we reached the harbour, boarded the bus back to Hanoi..This time on the way back was much more fun.. we played wif the playing cards and bluff... playeD for 3 hrs till we reach..Then we went back to the old quarter to shop... entered one of hanoi's few shopping centres..Their discman and MP3 damn cheap... The guitar too!After that we walked along the streets till the guide arrived..By then it was already 6 and we had dinner at a french-viet restaurant... had lots of french food and the tiramisu was the best. My uncle and uncle boo the jokers joked throughout the whole dinner...we got the waitress to teach us vietnamese language..CAn't really remem much but theres one bout the toilet.Toilet in Vietnamese : Navei-SiThe jokers : Nabei -Si ( no wonder the waitresses kept laughing)lolWe returned to the hotel at 8 and i shared the room wif my cous.. showered and got ready by 9 and this time everyone went bowling..Turns out uncle boos a pro..Score 150My cous 102me 120.. rest cannot remember le.After that we went to the snookerium.......played snooker till 11pmAt 12am the other kid s came to our room and we played cards,watched Freddy vs Jason and Cinderella story till 3 am . When they left my cousin and i watch soccer till 5 bfore dozing off..lolx did not hav a good nite's sleep.------------------------------------------
4th dayLast day was free and easy.Woke up at 9amWalked the streets but there was not much to see.We had lunch at the PizzaRoo. The pizza and lagsania there is delicious!Much better than pizza hut in singapore..The coach came at 1 and drove us to the airport..Reached singapore at 9 om,-----------------------------------------------yawns .... took so long to write.. sianx gd night!*promises nxt blog entryt wun b so long
